THE TRIUNE GODHEAD

We believe in the one true God, the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things.
He is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, and is revealed to us as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father: God, as Father, reigns over all of His universe with providential care. He is all-powerful, all-loving, all-knowing, and all-wise. He is fatherly in attitude toward all men but is Father, indeed, to those who have become children of God through Jesus Christ, who will deliver them into the Father’s hand. (Genesis 1:1; 1 Chronicles 29:10; Jeremiah 10:10; Mathew 6:9; Acts 1:7; Romans 8:14-15; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Corinthians 15:24; Ephesians 4:6).

GOD THE SON

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. He accomplished this redemption by voluntarily giving Himself as a sinless, substitutionary sacrifice on the cross, thereby satisfying God’s righteous judgement against sin. After sustaining the accomplishment of that redemption and justification by His bodily resurrection from the grave, He ascended to the right hand of His Father, where He intercedes on behalf of those who trust Him. (Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1, 2, 14, 18; Romans 3:24-26; Romans 8:3).

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Divine Person who convicts the world of sin (righteousness and judgement); that He alone brings new life to those who are spiritually dead; that the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4 is poured out on believers that they might have power to witness; that He baptizes (or places) all believers into the one true Church, which is the Body of Christ; that He indwells them permanently, seals them into the day of final redemption, bestows spiritual gifts upon them, and fills (controls) those who are yielding to Him. Every believer is called to live in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit so that he will not fulfill the list of the flesh but will bear fruit to the glory of God. We believe the spiritual gifts to be manifested in the church according to 1 Cor 12-14. (John 3:3-8; 14:16-17; 16:7-11, 13; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).

SCRIPTURES

We believe that “all Scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy 3:16). We understand this to mean that the whole Bible is infallible and inspired, in that holy men of God “were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:21) to write the very words of Scripture. We believe that this divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of Scripture as it appears in the original manuscripts. We believe that the whole Bible in those original manuscripts is, therefore, without error. We believe that all Scripture centers around the Lord Jesus Christ in His person, work, and in His first and second coming. Therefore, no portion of the Old Testament is properly read or understood until it leads to Christ. We also believe that all Scripture was designed for our practical instruction and contains every answer to man’s problem. (Luke 24:27, 44; John 5:39; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 10:11; 2 Timothy 3:16) The doctrine of salvation forms the core of our Christian faith by proclaiming God’s victory over sin in our lives. This truth results in deliverances, healing and restored lives. Whether a new member or a mature Christian, every believer should have a clear understanding of salvation and the difference this truth makes in our lives and churches. We believe that salvation is the gift of God’s grace. It cannot be gained or made more secure by meritorious works, but is freely bestowed upon all who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe on Him are redeemed by His shed blood. All who trust the Savior are forgiven of their sins and born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12; Acts 16:30-33; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-9) We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ and in His ascension into heaven; He is our High Priest and Advocate. (John 1:1-3, 14;3:1-7; Hebrews 10:4-14; 1 John 2:2).

WATER BAPTISM

We believe in water baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. (Mathew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Mathew 3:13-17).

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the doctrine of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers the believer to develop the character of Christ and live every day in God’s will. This truth explains the passion and power of our witness. We believe this truth is just as relevant today. (Mathew 3:11; Acts 2:4).

DIVINE HEALING

We believe wherever Jesus went, He ministered with compassion and healed the sick. Christ’s example showed an interconnection with salvation as many believed following their healing. We believe Jesus continues to heal today and it is vital that the church preach, teach and practice this biblical truth. Scriptures command believers to pray in faith and trust God for the outcome. We believe divine healing includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual restoration. (Luke 9:11; Mathew 9:35; Acts 10:38; Mathew 10:1).

THE SECOND COMING

We believe that with the world experiencing natural disasters, economic downturns and increasing uncertainties on many fronts, the doctrine of Christ’s Second Coming is more relevant than ever. Believers must rest in the certainty of the imminent return of our Lord and share this hope with others. Jesus will return and take all those who have accepted Him to heaven for eternity. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Hebrews 9:28).

THE GREAT COMMISSION

We believe until the return of Christ, it is the Christian’s duty, honor, and privilege to seek the fulfillment of Christ’s Great Commission to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” We believe as believers we are to minister in Jesus’ name to a needy world. We are to be instruments of Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit ministers redemption and reconciliation in the world. (Mathew 25:31-46; 28:18-20).

CHILDREN CAN BE BORN AGAIN

We believe that according to the Word of God, children are fully capable of receiving and acting on the gospel including salvation through the blood of Jesus, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, water baptism, communion, and operating in the gifts of the Spirit when these things are taught simply and on their level of understanding. We believe that anything of and by the Spirit that God has for adults is also available to children. We believe that childhood is the time that God designed for people to receive the gospel, and that we must all become as little children to receive the kingdom of heaven. (Mathew 18:1-14) We believe we have a mandate from heaven to teach children the word of God (John 21:15/Deuteronomy 6:1-9 and 20:21.) We believe that children are a part of God’s end time army and that the Great Commission of preaching the gospel to all nations, laying hands on the sick, raising the dead, speaking in tongues (Mathew 28:19-20/Mark 16:15-16/Acts 2:16-17) fully applies to born again children as well as adults. We believe according to scriptural example (Judges 16:26/Mathew 2:2-7) that children will play a major role in ushering in the last great revival and the soon return of Jesus.

JEWISH ROOTS

We believe the Bible is a Jewish book written by Jewish men. We believe our Savior is Jewish, that He (Jesus) was born and raised in a Jewish home and was from the lineage of King David. He went to the Temple, attended synagogue, studied Torah, celebrated Shabbat and all the Bible Holidays. He was a Jewish Rabbi in Israel and lived what we considered an orthodox life; just as all of the Apostles, including Paul, Peter, John and James. We believe that Jesus (Yeshua) is the Messiah; fulfilling the prophecies and promises God made through the prophets. We believe Jesus did not come to abolish the Torah but rather to show you and I (the world) how to live it…not in a legalistic way but with love, joy and faith. We believe in these last days believers around the world are realizing what the Apostle Paul taught in Romans 11, that we are meant to be grafted in to the Jewish people and their salvation history.
