At LECI we believe:
- God is faithful.
- God supplies ALL of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus; and
- God gives us all we have or hold.
“…[God], who did not spare his own Son, but gave him
Up for us all…graciously gives us all other things…” (Romans 8:32, NIV)
Why then should we deny and/or refuse to return to the Lord His due? The Israelites presented the first portion of their harvest, or first fruits, as an offering to God in recognition of the fact that God was the rightful owner of everything, including the land and all it produced. If you are a member of Life Equipping Centers then we offer a covenant to return your tithes.
We too should give God the first fruits of our income as a way of expressing obedience, and gratitude in honoring God as Lord of our lives and possessions. When we do this God promises to bless us generously.
“…those who honor me I will honor…” (1 Sam 2:30, ESV)
The above is God’s promise to all who faithfully and generously give toward God’s work and purpose.
If you are a member of Life Equipping Centers, then as responsible stewards over God’s resources, we encourage you to apply the following principles in returning your tithes:
- “But since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” (2 Corinthians 8:7, NIV)
- “’A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy unto the LORD…’” (Leviticus 27:30, NIV)
- “Each of you should give what you have decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7, NIV)
- “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, ‘says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10, NIV)
