At Life Equipping Centers International, Inc. (LECI), we believe that every Christ follower with a heart to serve is a leader in the making.
Webster’s dictionary defines a leader as a person who rules, guides, or inspires others. At LECI we infuse “God” into this definition by defining a leader as a person who submits to God’s perfect will and allows God to equip him/her to function as both a leader and a servant. We believe that Jesus led by example.
“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” (John 13:14-17, NIV)
LECI provides training to develop new and existing leaders in bible-centered leadership principles. For example, the principle of multiplication is at the core of Jesus’ teachings. During His time on earth, Jesus trained His twelve disciples and also influenced many outside this group. It is evident by Jesus’ encounters with rulers and religious leaders that Jesus not only taught the disciples God’s ways, but He also knew and understood each of them on a personal level inclusive of their resident gifts. Jesus knew how to motivate the disciples to act and He also prepared the disciples for taking over Jesus’ ministry where He left off.
LECI will provide a Bible-centered training program which will include:
1. Identifying your spiritual gifts.
2. How to encourage gifts in others.
3. How to create climates where people want to serve.
4. How to train others using L.A.B.S. (Life Application Beyond Salvation).
5. How to multiply yourself and teach others to do the same.
